The Department of Slavic Languages at Columbia University has created a competitive fellowship for an intensive summer study of the Ukrainian language.

The fellowship competition is open to all students enrolled in еlementary Ukrainian in Fall 2017. One outstanding student of еlementary Ukrainian will be awarded the summer fellowship in the amount of up to $7,200 in order to study іntermediate Ukrainian within a fully immersive summer program in Ukraine in 2018. The fellowship recipient will be expected to continue studying Ukrainian at the аdvanced level at Columbia in fall 2018. The fellowship is to assist with costs for tuition, transportation, and lodging during the summer session in Ukraine. This may be your chance to immerse yourself in the history and culture of a pivotal part of Europe and learn one of the most melodic languages in the world.
