The Holodomor Education Conference: Education–Awareness–Action will be held on May 5-7, 2017, at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg, Canada. The conference is organized by the Holodomor Research and Education Consortium (HREC), Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies, University of Alberta.
The conference is an opportunity to acquire materials on the teaching of the Holodomor, the term used to describe the genocide by starvation that took place on the territory of Ukraine in 1932-1933, as well as information on how the topic of the Holodomor can be incorporated in a range of curricula, including courses on world history, human rights and genocide. The Conference Flyer, Conference Program, Participant Application Form, Travel Grant Application Form and a Press Release are downloadable from the HREC website.
Travel Grants are available to support the attendance of educators.
